- CAUDILL Mrs. Alda Osborne Caudill, age 86, of Middle River, Maryland, died Monday, January 17, 2005, at Mariner Health Care in Bel Air, MD. She was the widow of Talmage Caudill and was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Helen Caudill, a son, Harold Don Caudill, a daughter, Janice Tickle, sisters, Dorothy Young and Nora Phipps and brothers, Glenn and Guy Osborne. She was born in the Turkey Knob Community of Alleghany County on September 12, 1918, to the late J.B. and Margie Johnson Osborne. She retired from Glen L. Martin Company in Bel Air, MD. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Nancy Caudill of White Hall, Maryland; seven grandchildren and 34 great and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Blanche Pugh and husband Dent, Rose Osborne, all of Piney Creek; a brother, Jessie Mack Osborne and wife June of Independence, VA; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 20th at the Grandview Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Osborne Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
