  [Lewis.Caudle.Ohio.FTW] Christian Binkley was born May 29, 1853, in Clermont Co..unty, OH and depa rted this life, September 20, 1911 ages 60 years, 3 months and 21 day s. he grewto manhood in the southern part of the state and on Septemb er 29, was unitedin marriage to Florence Curless, who with him shared t he experience of the cares of life for nearly 36 years. To this union we re born twelve children, three of whom preceded him in the Glory World. T here are left to mourn six boys and three girls, a loving wife, twelve gra ndchildren, three brothers, sister and a host of friends to mourn his depa rture. In 1886, he was converted under the pastorate of Brother Vaugh an at Red Lion, OH, but like many others, he became discouraged and negl ected his duty and became indifferent to his church relations. In 18 87 he moved to Mercer county, locating in Blackcreek township. Later he s pent one year in IN and then returned and has resided here ever sinc e. Those with whom he became acquainted he learned to love and serve wi th gratitude and respect and was always held in high esteem by his neighbo rs and friends and the church. Not withstanding his luke warmness, the Lo rd appeared to him graciously at times and Brother Binkley was always rea dy to confess his wrongs and renew his covenant with his Master. He was i dentified with the church at Centenary several years ago and later at Foun tain Chapel and still later at Bethel. He was a power for good in the chu rch, always ready to confess his Lord in the spirit of meekness. He wi ll be greatly missed in the home, in the church and in the community, b ut in the spirit of the Master we submit to this dispensation of his provi dence knowing he doeth all things well.
