- [Cordell.FTW]
All decendency information on George Sanford Cordell comes to me through his great-great-granddaughter, Jeanita Cordell Strang
Jeanita Strang states: "I just found a web site that has the pictures of the tombstones in East Mt. Pleasant Cemetery also known as Cordell Cemetery which is in Watonga. Both George Sanford Cordells were buried there. The web site is: www.rootsweb.com/~okcemete/blaine/cordell/cordellgs.htm
I was so surprised. I was trying to find out information on the Okla Land Rush. I was always told that there were 4 Cordells in the Land Rush. I'd love to find out if there are any records. My guess is that George Sanford I was in it. And his son, William Madison Cordell and possibly his grandson George Sanford II.
